help for local admen. an interesting recruitment campaign by iris singapore. love the letters, especially how they poke fun at the various agencies! some of my faves from the letters:-

i must admit, i do miss working in the agency. the work, the people, the diverse industries you get to work with.

i’m thinking of going back to work in the agency. being a client has its perks, but at the end of the day, i don’t find as much satisfaction here at all. this new opportunity will be based overseas and that itself sends thrills down my spine. not sure how things will pan out, but let’s see how it goes. i’m excited yet nervous with all the uncertainties in life right now. wish me all the luck!

alright, i’m a slow poke at posting this. came across this a couple weeks back and got me thinking a bit…

we try to be active on social networks to “keep in touch” with our friends. but seriously, those who matter to us are probably within reach and there’s no need for any social network to be connected with them. a phone call, sms or even a visit would be enough. have we spent too much time trying to establish a connection with our friends such that we lost the ones we have with those who matter more?

YOG Wave

Singapore was the host city for the inaugural Youth Olympics Games (YOG). If you were here during 14 to 26 Aug 2010, you would have seen some of the marketing materials that we have all over the country… and you would agree with me that some of them were sooo bad. (e.g. poor quality banners hanging on bright pink rafia strings) However, there’s always a silver lining and I must say, the online work was so much better!

I think this is a first in the world – Tribal DDB came up with a virtual stadium where users can do a “Tweetwave” for the Singapore Cubs playing their match against Montenegro for the football bronze medal.

Just tweet with the hashtag #yogwave and your Twitter avatar will appear in the virtual stadium at Can you spot me? 🙂
