Montana Meth Project
saw these ads on a blog and it hit me quite hard. so i got curious and went to find out more about the campaign.
to give you a rough background, the State of Montana ranks among the top ten states nationally in per capita treatment admissions for Methamphetamine (an addictive drug; Meth for short). how bad it is, you think.
52% of children in foster care are there due to Meth. Cost to the state: $12 million a year.
50% of adults in prison are there due to Meth-releated crime. Cost to the state: $45 million a year.
20% of adults in treatment are there for Meth addiction. Cost to the state: $12 million a year.
The Montana Meth Project is a large-scale exercise in prevention, aimed at significantly reducing Meth use in Montana. the integrated program consists of an ongoing, research-based marketing campaign—supported by community outreach and public policy initiatives—that realistically and graphically communicate the risks of methamphetamine to the youth of Montana.
The Meth Project is the largest advertiser in Montana, reaching 70-90% of teens three times a week. this is indeed saturation-level advertising.

Sunsilk Shampoo
i’m a fan of sunsilk products (from what i know, it used to be called “organics” before they change their name) and i like how they went away from the usual model-with-nice-hair-flying-in-the-breeze advertising model.

if you’re interested, you can read my previous blog entry on another hair product as well.
Reynolds Wrap

an excellent piece of work by Saatchi & Saatchi, NY. it’s amazing how simple, yet impactful it is! (:
Thai Health Promotion Foundation
great work done by TBWA\! (i’m guessing it’s thailand)

glued to the chair/tv? don’t worry, you can always count on McDelivery.

Stain Remover
stains are no one’s best friend and don’t you wish you can remove it as easily as peeling off a piece of paper?
copy reads: “removes stain as fast as it was made”

Lipton Garden Tea

this is such a damn cool idea! the garden shrubs were trimmed to look like teacups and then hung with tea-bag strings, which advertise the Lipton Garden variety. And did you notice the delicately groomed teacup handles? great effort done by JWT, Cairo.
